Linn And Benton Counties Report 8 New COVID-19 Cases

Linn County added two and Benton County six COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours according to the daily report (7/11/2020 12:01 am) from the  Oregon Health Authority.  The combined county total of 286 cases is a rate of 13.0 cases per 10,000 persons.

The rate in Linn County is 13.9 per 10,000 persons (174 cases). In comparison , Benton Counties COVID-19 rate is 14% lower, 12.0 per 10,000 (112 cases).  

In the OHA Weekly report (77) by Zip Code, Albany has reported 97 cases, 21 new cases, and Lebanon 10 cases in the past week, as noted in OHA's 7/8/2020 weekly Count. Reporting one to nine cases each: Brownsville, Halsey, Scio, Sweet Home, Tangent and Harrisburg .**

The Statewide COVID-19 rate of 28.2 cases per 10,000 persons is more than twice that of Linn and Benton Counties. The Oregon State total- 11,851 cases.

Marion County reported 61 new cases. The county COVID-19 Case total is a few days from reaching 2,000 with the current total 1,831 cases. The virus is 3.8 times more prevalent in Marion County compared to Linn County at 53.2 cases per 10,000 (1743 cases).

Lane county meanwhile has the lighter distribution of reported COVID-19 cases with 7.8 cases per 10,000.

Due to the outbreak at Pacific Seafood in Newport of 180** cases, Lincoln Counties Rate of 74.9 per 10,000 is more than five times that of the Linn-Benton County rate.

The earlier outbreaks at the Oregon Veterans' Home in Lebanon (8 deaths, 38 cases) and National Frozen Foods (41 cases) are classified as "Resolved", according to OHA**.
